My origin story
As you can probably gather from my work, I grew up in Harare, Zimbabwe. Not necessarily the centre of design and the creative arts, but definitely a place with a rich history tied to storytelling. This, coupled with my own obsession with Microsoft Paint 98, were my first steps towards becoming an digital designer.
The 2019 lockdown gave me the time to fully explore these interests and solidify my path as a creative. I moved to Australia to pursue a Bachelor of Digital Design, an experience that opened up a range of creative pathways. Now, post-grad, I continue exploring, experimenting, and working on projects I find exciting.
My work ethic centres on intention. I believe that to produce good work, a strong understanding of the backstory is needed. Research, collaboration, and initiative are all pillars for me, coupled with a positive attitude fuelled by a genuine passion for the work I do.
Work Experience
August 2024 - Present
Jan 2024 - August 2025
January 2020 - Dec 2023
Currently I'm working as a Vision Technician at Bluey’s World, supporting the visual systems behind the live production.
I work closely with projection and digital content systems, as well as supporting technical setup and troubleshooting during live shows.
Being able to contribute to 3D elements for print has also been a highlight.
After being a top-performing student in my cohort, I was offered the role of Creative Arts Peer Tutor at the University of Southern Queensland. The role involved organising the practical side of projects including scheduling, run sheets, and shoot planning.
A highlight was being part of Open Day, where I helped promote the Creative Arts program and speak to prospective students about the course.
I started creating social media content after high school, including running a blog and producing content for different audiences. I worked on content for local brands, developing skills in visual design, content planning, and audience engagement.
One video I created reached over 32K views, which was a big moment for me, and pushed me further towards pursuing studies in digital media.
